Author Yüksel Işık: "Shah Ismail Book shows the power of Anatolian folk culture"

Ankara Büyükşehir Belediyesi Sosyal Medya Daire Başkanı, gazeteci-yazar Yüksel Işık, son çalışması Shah Ismail kitabının yayımlanma sürecini ve içeriğini Cumhur Haber Ajansı (CUMHA) Genel Koordinatörü Hüseyin Bekar’a anlattı.

Stating that the book was published on May 23, which coincided with the anniversary of the death of Shah Ismail, the founder of the Safavid State, Isik said that the book is not only a historical biography, but also a work that emphasizes the effect of Anatolian folk culture.

Yüksel Işık stated that the main purpose of the book was aimed at understanding the structure and model of the state he founded as well as the historical personality of Shah Ismail.

Stating that a delegation gathered on Höbek Mountain in Tercan declared Shah Ismail Shah, Işık said that this structure was based on common mind at the beginning, but over time evolved into absolute power.

The understanding of poetry changing in the post -Çaldıran period
Yüksel Işık also mentioned the poems of Shah Ismail.

Shah Ismail, who wandered with black clothes after the defeat, said that he had moved away from state affairs and turned to literature and said that this transformation enabled him to be accepted as one of the "Seven Great Ozan" in his Alevi tradition.

Yüksel Işık established some similarities between the structuring of power during the Shah Ismail period and today's Turkey.

Işık, who also gave information about the publication process of the book, explained that he proposed a work to the Republic Books, that the publishing board decided to publish the book at the end of the evaluation process and that the work was preparing for the second edition in a short time.
