Don support for farmers is growing: 67 percent of premium contributions to government insurance

State Support Package announced after agricultural frost
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced a new preventive package in order to reduce the damages of producers after the agricultural frost, which was effective throughout the country between 9-13 April.

In a statement made by the Ministry, 67 percent of farmers who want to get frost collateral within the scope of insurance reported that state premium support was provided.

Special premium discounts for damaging systems
According to Yumaklı's statement, an additional premium discount is applied for 25 to 35 percent for products using wind propellers, fogging and sprinkler systems that will reduce the impact of damage against frost events.

SPECIAL INCENTIES FOR FARM DENSITY
The Ministry also provided additional discounts on different demographic groups in order to make farmers more easily accessible to the insurance system.

• 5 percent for relatives and veterans of martyrs,

• 5 percent for those who pay in advance,

• 10 percent for female farmers,

• 5 percent to manufacturers under the age of 40,

• 5 percent discount is applied to disabled farmers.

Contracted manufacturer and support for planned agriculture
10 percent premium reduction is applied to the contracted production farmers, while 10 percent discount is provided in the products covered by agricultural production planning.
