Syrian Tribal Group: "Hökmel cannot be silent against the massacres of Hökmel"
The Syrian Tribal Group published a written statement after the attacks in Deyrizor and called on the government.
Many tribal representatives from various regions of Syria published a common written statement on 17 July 2025 and reacted to the latest developments in Deyrizor.
In this text, “massacres committed by Hökmel militias and violence against women, children and elderly” were criticized by the community with harsh expressions.
Four -item demands were listed
The following requests were included in the statement:

The Syrian government was called to prevent or intervene of fighters from outside the region.

The investigation of the attacks of HÖKMEL militias and the perpetrators were requested to be tried.

In a statement, "the tribes to remain silent, betrayed the legacy of the martyrs given in the past," said the determination of the struggle was emphasized.

Syria's territorial integrity is underlined, no power will be allowed to digest the tribes was expressed.
The statement, "Tribes are determined to preserve the honor and unity of this country," the statement ended.
