AK Party Tekirdağ Deputy Mestan Özcan: 'Israel's attack on Iran is a crime against regional peace'

In his speech at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, AK Party Tekirdağ Deputy Mestan Özcan reacted to the attacks carried out by Israel against various cities in Iran on June 13. Özcan stated that the attacks were not only against Iran, but also against the entire region and humanity.
 
 
'Israel disregards international law'
Recalling that many high-ranking figures, including the Chief of Staff of Iran and the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards, and 224 civilians lost their lives, Özcan said, 'This large-scale operation carried out by Israel as part of its plan to make people forget Gaza completely disregards international law and the law of war.'
 
'Aggression is pushing the region to the edge of the abyss'
Emphasizing that Israel's aggressive stance has gotten out of control, Özcan said, "The state has lost its mind, has succumbed to its arrogance, and this aggressive stance is dragging the Middle East to the edge of a cliff."
 
'Türkiye always stands for justice and peace'
Drawing attention to Türkiye's stance at the end of his speech, Mestan Özcan said, "Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey will continue to stand by regional peace, justice and international law as it has always done," and called on the international community to raise its voice against this brutality.
