Turkish States Organization Summit was held in Budapest
The Turkish States Organization (TDT) State and Government Presidents Gonseresmî Summit was held on 21 May 2025 in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Kazakhistan President Kasım-Cömert Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadır Caparov, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Uzbekistan President Sevket Mirziyoyev and TDT Secretary General Kubaniçbek Ömüraliyev attended the meeting.

Cooperation and regional agenda were discussed
At the summit, which was organized with the theme of the Meet Meeting Point of the East and West ’, the heads of state evaluated their joint cooperation areas and exchanged views on global issues.

Signed Documents and Decisions
The following documents were signed by the Council of Presidents:

• Budapest Declaration

• Uzbekistan's decision to participate in the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation

• TDT Secretary General's decision to extend the term of office

• Description of the Council of Presidents about Afghanistan

The following decisions were adopted by the Council of Foreign Ministers:

• Appointment of the Executive Director of the Hungarian Representative Office

• Giving observer status to the Turkish Academy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

International award to Aziz Sancar
Within the scope of the summit, Nobel Prize -winning Turkish Molecular Biologist.

Cultural Program and Press Conference
Within the framework of the summit, a cultural event was held in honor of the Hungarian State Opera.

The Budapest Gayriresmî Summit is the first summit of an observer member of the TDT on the territory.
