Lachin International Airport Opens: Türkiye and Azerbaijan Deepen Strategic Cooperation
Lachin International Airport, built on the liberated lands of Azerbaijan, was opened with the participation of President Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Aliyev. Türkiye continues to stand by Azerbaijan both at the table and in the field in Karabakh.
The Opening Ceremony was Held with the Participation of Presidents Erdoğan and Aliyev
Lachin International Airport, which was completed in the Lachin region of Azerbaijan, was opened with a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu also attended the opening ceremony.
Karabağ Zaferinden Sonra Üçüncü Büyük Havalimanı
Laçın Havalimanı, Azerbaycan'ın Karabağ Zaferi sonrasında inşa ettiği üçüncü büyük havalimanı olma özelliği taşıyor. Bakan Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, havalimanının bölgenin kalkınmasında ve ulaştırma altyapısının güçlenmesinde kilit rol oynayacağını belirtti. Uraloğlu, ‘Karabağ zaferinin ardından inşa edilen üçüncü büyük havalimanı, stratejik iş birliğimizin derinleşmesinde hayati bir rol üstlenecek’ dedi.
Türkiye Continues Its Support in the Field
Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that Türkiye stands by Azerbaijan not only politically and diplomatically, but also on the field. Uraloğlu underlined the Türkiye-Azerbaijan solidarity with the words, "One nation, two states; one heart."
A New Era in Regional Transportation and Logistics
With the opening of Lachin International Airport, Azerbaijan's regional transportation capacity will increase and the logistics and economic integration on the Turkey-Azerbaijan line will deepen. The airport is also considered an important strategic step in terms of the geopolitical balance in the South Caucasus.
