President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The increasing tensions between Israel and Iran and the regional and global impacts of these conflicts were discussed.
 
'Israeli attacks threaten regional security'
Erdoğan stated that Israel's attacks on Iran have seriously damaged regional security. He stated that the government led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's stance of disregarding international law poses a security threat not only regionally but also on a global scale.
 
'Another crisis cannot be endured'
During the meeting, Erdoğan emphasized that the region was not in a position to endure a new crisis and said that ongoing efforts for reconciliation regarding Iran's nuclear program were being deliberately undermined by Israel. He stated that this process must be continued.
 
'The genocide in Gaza should not be forgotten'
President Erdoğan noted that Israel's attacks on Iran were aimed at removing the human tragedy in Gaza from the world's agenda, and expressed that caution should be exercised against these efforts. Erdoğan stated that the genocide in Gaza should not be allowed to escape the attention of the international community.
