President Erdoğan to Sultan of Oman: 'The region cannot bear a new war'

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Sultan Heysam bin Tariq bin Teymur Al Said of Oman. The escalating conflicts between Israel and Iran as well as regional and global developments were discussed during the meeting.
'The region has no tolerance for a new war'
President Erdoğan stated that the conflicts that started with Israel's attacks on Iran pose great risks to the security of the region. Erdoğan emphasized that the Middle East is not in a position to withstand a new war.
'Netanyahu administration has become a global security problem'
During the meeting, Erdoğan stated that the government led by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has now become a threat to global security and stability. Erdoğan said that it is significant that the attacks on Iran took place before the sixth round of nuclear negotiations, and noted that Türkiye sees dialogue and negotiation as the only valid way to resolve nuclear disputes.
'Genocide in Gaza should not be overshadowed'
Erdoğan also emphasized that Israel's actions in Gaza constitute genocide and that recent developments should not overshadow this fact.
