Google Introduces New Feature to Quickly Remove Personal Information from Search Results

New Update Brings Faster Actions
Google has launched a new feature designed to make it easier for users to manage and remove personal information from search results. The update to the "Results About You" tool will allow users to directly manage their personal data, such as their name, address, phone number, and email. If any of these details appear in search results, Google will notify the user and give them the option to remove them.

Easy Access and Quick Removal Requests
Previously, this tool was only available through the Google app. However, with the new update, it will be accessible directly from the search results page. Users will simply click on the three-dot menu in the search result and select the "Remove this result" option to quickly initiate the removal process.

Google's Response to Removal Requests
Google will evaluate removal requests based on three categories: personal information removal, reporting illegal content, and correcting outdated or irrelevant results. Currently, this update is available only in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, France, Sweden, Thailand, India, and Indonesia. However, the feature is expected to expand to more countries in the future.
