Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu Announces 2.2 Million Visitors to Çamlıca Tower and the Launch of DAB+ Technology

Çamlıca Tower, a symbol of modern architecture, has become one of Istanbul's most recognized landmarks. With its contemporary design blending harmoniously with nature, the tower stands as the tallest structure in Europe. Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu emphasized the tower’s role in enhancing Istanbul’s skyline, offering panoramic views of the city’s stunning landscape from its observation decks. The tower has successfully captured the attention of both local and international tourists, with visitor numbers reaching 2.2 million.

DAB+ Technology Marks a New Era in Radio Broadcasting
Uraloğlu also announced the introduction of Digital Audio Broadcasting Plus (DAB+) technology at Çamlıca Tower, setting a new milestone in Turkey's radio broadcasting sector. This advanced technology enables simultaneous transmission of 100 FM radio channels from a single communication tower. The transition to DAB+ has also led to increased energy efficiency and eco-friendly broadcasting practices.

DAB+ Technology: A Solution to Frequency Shortage
The new system promises to resolve the FM frequency congestion in Istanbul, allowing for the provision of 448 additional frequencies. According to Uraloğlu, DAB+ is not only beneficial for music and news broadcasting but can also serve as an essential tool for education and entertainment.
