President Erdoğan: "The struggle for freedom of the Turkish Cypriot Freedom will never be forgotten"

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who attended the official ceremony of the July 20 Peace and Freedom Day in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), gave messages in his speech in Nicosia due to the 51st year of the Cyprus Peace Operation.

In his speech at the ceremony, Erdogan said that the operation carried out on July 20, 1974 was a “legitimate and compulsory” step in the face of systematic attacks against the Turkish Cypriot people.

"Turkish Cypriots are not alone"

Erdogan emphasized that the TRNC's international representation should be increased and said, “International society should recognize the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, direct flights and trade should be opened”.

New Projects and Investments
In the ceremony, the foundation of the first stage of the new State Hospital of Nicosia was laid and the projects and health center projects were opened.
