Harsh reaction from CHP Spokesperson Deniz Yücel to MHP member Semih Yalçın: "Your path is dark, your style is mafia"

Republican People's Party (CHP) Deputy Chairman, Party Spokesperson and Izmir Deputy Lawyer Deniz Yücel gave a harsh response on social media to the statements of Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın.

In his post, Yücel accused Semih Yalçın of "making inappropriate and excessive statements".

“Politics requires principles and consistency”
In his statement, Yücel also touched upon MHP's past attitude and said, "Those who criticized the government 10 years ago with the words 'A window dressing chairman was appointed to head the AKP' and today align with the government are not actors of politics, but extras."

“You cannot criticize the leader who made CHP the first party after 47 years”
CHP Spokesperson also reacted to the criticisms against Chairman Özgür Özel and said, "Our Chairman Özgür Özel has made the Republican People's Party the first party of Turkey after 47 years. The only one who will evaluate him is the great Turkish nation."

Yücel completed his statement with the words, "The nation is tired of your mafia attitude and threats. Your path is not a path, your path is dark."
