OZ BÜRO BUSINESS Union Chairman Baki Gülbaba: “The right to collective bargaining is prevented and TSE laborers have started strikes”

Baki Gülbaba, Chairman of Öz Büro İş Union, made a statement regarding the collective bargaining process of the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) employees.

"Our goal is not a strike, it's a fair contract"
Gülbaba stated that the main goal of the union is not a strike and said, “We wanted a collective agreement. We have been struggling for this for months. Our employees cannot pay the rent of the house, they cannot meet the school needs of their children.

"The right to collective bargaining is prevented"
Emphasizing that the results of the negotiations with the TSE management, Gülbaba said, “We demanded that the rights included in the protocol signed by six hundred thousand public employees be recognized to us. However, the walls were built in front of our demands. Therefore, we did not have any choice but to go on strike”.

"We are aware of our responsibility"
Gülbaba said that the union does not have an ideological goal.

"We want to take our rights at the table"
Gülbaba stated that the workers used their constitutional rights and that they were decided by a majority of the vote, “We don't want strikes, but we don't have any other choice. The solution address is a collective bargaining table. We invite TSE Management to signature”.
