Hüseyni stated that Serdar Cengel Airport is in line with the technical infrastructure and international standards for foreign flights.
International flights started again
International flights at the airport have been reported to have been stopped for a while due to military and political developments in the recent past.

Hüseyni also announced that regular flights from Gilan to Astrahan, Russia, will be started in a short time.
