The 37th Golden Karagöz Folk Dance Competition in Bursa started with the opening: 16 countries, 25 local communities met on stage

The opening program of the 37th International Golden Karagöz Folk Dance Competition, which is one of the important activities of the 63rd International Bursa Festival organized by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality this year, was held.

At the opening, all the dance communities participating in the competition were invited to the stage and brought together the audience.

Mayor of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mustafa BozbeyIn his speech at the event, he drew attention to the unifying power of art.

Stressing that art plays an important role in the development of children and the progress of societies, Bozbey said that they should support children to take care of an art or sports.

Yarışma kapsamında bu yıl toplam 16 Foreign Dance Society ile 25 Bursa Dance Society sahne alacak. Üç günlük gecikme nedeniyle bazı ekiplerin programa katılamadığı ifade edilse de, etkinlik boyunca şehrin farklı noktalarında dans gösterileri ve müzik etkinlikleri düzenlenecek.

Bozbey, during the festival, the squares dance and the streets will be filled with universal melodies, saying that all Bursali invited to participate in the events.
