Yunus Ataş, President of Northern Cyprus Elazığlılar Association, discussed Elazığ TSO President İdris Alan and the Commercial Cooperation of Cyprus-Elazığ

Yunus Ataş, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Elazığlılar Association, visited Elazığ Chamber of Commerce and Industry President İdris Alan in his office.

Cultural ties and solidarity emphasis
Association President Yunus Ataş stated that the past martyr İlhanlar incident has created an important bond between Northern Cyprus and Elazığ and that Elazığ has a special place in Northern Cyprus.

Ataş stated that they observed that Elazığ developed rapidly after the earthquake and that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry played an important role in this process.

Cooperation plans and joint projects
İdris Alan, President of Elazığ Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed his satisfaction with the visit and stressed that Northern Cyprus has strategic importance for Elazığ.

Alan announced that they would attend a meeting with Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry with Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye in the coming period.

Mayor Alan said, "I hope we will bring Elazig and Cyprus closer to each other."
