CHP Gülcan Winter: "They left 4 million young people to their fate, the ministry responded empty after 270 days"

The response after 9 months attracted a reaction
CHP Mersin Deputy Gülcan Kış, in Turkey in education and employment of young people (“Neet Junior”) brought up the status of the agenda.

Allegation of violations

But the ministry remained silent for 9 months, then sent an empty answer to both young people and the Assembly," he said.

4 million young people are unattended
According to Eurostat data, 35.6 percent of young people in the 15-29 age group in Turkey, that is, about 4 million people are neither in education nor in employment.

Call for an emergency action plan
Saying that the projects listed in the response of the Ministry are based only on EU funds, Winter emphasized that this approach is far from solving the problem:
“They have been boasting EU projects for years, but the result is obvious: Neet Young Rate is still twice the European average. 4 million young people can go to school what can find a job. A comprehensive employment strategy to solve this problem, women and regions special programs, psychological support mechanisms are needed.”
