Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar: "transfer your experience abroad to our country"

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar met with university candidates at the Prefers 2025 event in Istanbul.

"Energy is an area where all professions intersect"
Bayraktar, in his speech by drawing attention to the importance of energy, the world is increasingly electrified and consequently the need for energy, he said.

Bayraktar, "different disciplines, different fields in your structure and abilities," he said, "he said that young people should improve themselves.

"Dependence in energy in energy is not destiny"
Bayraktar stated that they aim to end Turkey's dependence on foreign energy in the field of energy and said that decisive steps have been taken to investigate domestic resources.

Conversely calling for brain drain
Bayraktar stated that many experts working abroad, especially in the energy sector, started to return to Turkey and made the following call to young people:
“Go abroad, take education, work on different skills, but return to our country and continue to transfer that experience here. Many of our people working in different countries for years can now see that they can perform their professions in Turkey. This is the result of our domestic energy breakthroughs.”
