Special Iftar for Martyrs' Families and Veterans in Pursaklar
On the occasion of March 18 Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs’ Remembrance Day, Pursaklar Municipality organized a special iftar dinner for martyrs' families, veterans, and nursing home residents. The event, held at Necla Kızılbağ Nursing Home, was attended by Pursaklar District Governor Üzeyir Aziz Özeren, TÜGŞAV Pursaklar Representative Mehmet Eğin, and Mayor Ertuğrul Çetin. After the iftar, prayers were offered in memory of the martyrs.
Pursaklar Mayor Ertuğrul Çetin gathered with martyrs' families, veterans, and Necla Kızılbağ Nursing Home residents for a special iftar dinner on the occasion of March 18 Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs’ Remembrance Day.
The iftar, held at Necla Kızılbağ Nursing Home, was attended by Pursaklar District Governor Üzeyir Aziz Özeren, TÜGŞAV Pursaklar Representative Mehmet Eğin, and numerous guests. Emphasizing the importance of unity, solidarity, and remembrance, Mayor Çetin personally greeted and engaged with the attendees throughout the event.
‘May our unity, solidarity, and brotherhood remain strong’
Speaking after the iftar, Mayor Ertuğrul Çetin highlighted the significance of March 18 Çanakkale Victory and stated:
‘Today, we broke our fast together with our District Governor Üzeyir Aziz Özeren, TÜGŞAV Pursaklar Representative Mehmet Eğin, the esteemed families of our martyrs, our veterans, and our nursing home residents. On this special day, we remember our heroic martyrs who entrusted this beautiful homeland to us and honor our late veterans with gratitude. May our unity, solidarity, and brotherhood remain strong. May Allah (cc) accept our fasts and prayers.’
Following the iftar, the guests attended a special commemoration event at Pursaklar Life Center, where prayers were recited in memory of the martyrs, making the evening even more meaningful.
