Future Party Isa Christ Şahin: "Let us declare Nevruz official holidays, be the symbol of peace and brotherhood"

Future Party Istanbul Deputy Isa Christ Sahin, TBMM Genel Kurulu’nda yaptığı konuşmada, The declaration of Nevruz's official holiday için sunduğu kanun teklifine destek çağrısı yaptı. Şahin, teklifin siyasi değil, toplumsal barışa katkı sunmayı amaçladığını belirtti.

"Nevruz is the common culture of this geography"

Şahin emphasized that Nevruz is not only the arrival of spring, but a symbol of social peace and brotherhood:
“Nevruz is the feast of those who enter under the same banner in Malazgirt and those who fought on the same front during the War of Independence. It is our common heritage celebrated from Turkestan to Van, from Edirne to Osmaniye.”

"Today Türkiye is on the verge of brotherhood"

Türkiye’nin yeni bir barış ve toplumsal uzlaşı dönemine girdiğini söyleyen Şahin, "For a future without terrorism, we open the door of a climate where our differences are considered wealth" diyerek, teklifin sembolik önemine dikkat çekti.

"I believe that all parties will support this offer"

Şahin, Nevruz’un resmî tatil ilan edilmesi için AK Party, CHP, MHP, GOOD Party, Dem Party and New Road Group MPs separate proposals olduğunu belirtti:
“This proposal is above the parties. The President also called for the President in this direction. Come, let's scrape this union on the calendar” dedi.

"Nevruz is not only one day, but a way of life"

Nevruz’un sadece bir tarih olmadığını, barışın, paylaşmanın ve geçmişle geleceği birleştirmenin adı olduğunu belirten Şahin, "Our brotherhood needs to be written on the calendar. This assembly is able to achieve this" dedi.

"Let's meet in the common sense of society"

At the end of his speech, Şahin called to the Parliament and completed his speech with the following words:
"Horon is ours in ours, ours in ours, zilgıt is ours. It is not the limit of anyone. Let's make Nevruz official holidays, let us hope for our common future."
