GOOD Party Ömer Karakaş: “This law is not a climate, but the law of digital captivity;

GOOD Party Aydın Deputy Ömer Karakaş, in his speech at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 1 July 2025, made comprehensive and harsh criticisms against the Climate Law.

"This law will bring quota to farmers, barcodes to people"
In his speech, underlining the concepts such as carbon footprint, carbon trade, carbon quota, Karakaş said that these mechanisms will return to farmers in the future as a production restriction and the right to life on the citizen.

"Global shepherds want to create digital herd"
Claiming that climatic policies have created a new control regime through digitalization, Karakaş said, “The aim of global shepherds is to create people who have been separated from agriculture, animal husbandry and production and turn into digital flocks,” he said.

"Covid will be the same as a control tool, carbon will be the same"
Karakaş, Covid-19 period, reminding the restrictions, a similar process is now being commissioned by carbon arrangements, he said.

"This means selling sovereignty to the carbon market"
Karakaş argued that the law will damage Türkiye's independence economically and legally.
