Great Change in Building Supervision: New Era in Earthquake Insurance has begun

Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change with the new regulations prepared by the Ministry of Climate, 'Building Supervision Regulation', 'Distribution Communiqué' and 'Penal Communiqué' was updated.

Building safety by insurance

Within the scope of the new regulation, organizations wishing to obtain a building inspection permit certificate will no longer be able to apply not only with the bank guarantee letters, but also with bail bills to be obtained from insurance companies operating in Turkey.

In the Regulation, the calculation methods of building inspection service fees were also reorganized.

Ease for small structures

In order to facilitate the access of citizens to building inspection services, the buildings up to 500 square meters were taken out of the electronic distribution system.

Obligation for residence and termination conditions

With the new regulation, the building audit institutions could take part in other provinces, but only the condition of the audit staff to reside in the relevant province.

The period of work required for the termination of the contract was reduced from 6 months to 3 months.

Two alternative assignment system

In line with the amendments in the Electronic Distribution Communiqué, two alternative audit organizations will be appointed in provinces with 45 or more building inspection institutions.

Heavy penalties are coming

With the new penalty regulation, if the buildings are demolished within 15 years or the demolition of neighboring structures during construction, the activities of the relevant building inspection organization will be terminated completely.
