Hilmi Şanlı: “Mosques are not a museum, but the sacred places prostrated to Allah”

Hilmi Şanlı, Vice President of the Turkish Religious Foundation Vakıf-Sen reacted to the fact that mosques are seen as a tourist visit, and said that disrespectful disrespecting the worship environment.

Hilmi Şanlı: “Mosques are not a museum, but the sacred places prostrated to Allah”

Hilmi Şanlı, Vice President of the Turkish Religious Foundation-Sen, called on the public by stating that mosques are not only an architectural structure or visit point, and that it is the center of worship and spirituality.

In his statement, Sanli emphasized that mosques are the sacred places where believers prostrate, pray and find peace.

In the Holy Quran, "In the masjids of Allah, who is more cruel than anyone who prevents the name of Allah and tries to ruin?"

The Prophet said, “These masjids belong to Allah. Do not pray to anyone other than Allah there in that case” (Surat al-Jinn, 18).

In his statement, Sanli said that the mosque officials and the community are increasingly uncomfortable in this regard, that the moments of worship were divided and the spiritual atmosphere was damaged.

  • To adopt the manners in terms of clothing and behavior while entering the mosques,
  • Sensitivity to the warnings of mosque officials,
