İYİ Party Deputy Burak Akburak: "Giresun's right to the 86-year Independence Medal should be handed over"

Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi Genel Kurulu’nda konuşan İYİ Parti İstanbul Milletvekili Burak AkburakHe drew attention to both the historical heritage and current problems of Giresun.

Akburak said, "The people of Giresun deserve this medal. Despite the decision dated February 7, 1939, this right has not been granted for 86 years. The signature campaign launched under the leadership of Ali Kara, President of the Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, shows the determination of the people on this issue. We made our official applications, strengthened the documents and re-applied to the Ministry of National Defense."

“GİRESUN'S TRANSPORTATION PROBLEMS MUST BE SOLVED URGENTLY”
Akburak konuşmasında, Giresun’un ulaşım sorunlarına da değindi. Doğu Karadeniz sahilini iç bölgelere bağlayan Giresun–Dereli–Şebinkarahisar–Sivas road projesinin yeniden gündeme alınması gerektiğini belirtti.

Deputy Akburak said, "The first stage of this road has been completed, but the 86-kilometer Dereli-Şebinkarahisar line is still waiting for the investment decision. Our citizens living in this region have to go to Sivas for health, education and trade due to transportation difficulties."

Stating that the Pınarlar Tunnel was not included in the investment program even though it was within the scope of the project, Akburak said, "While the Eğribel Tunnel has been completed, it is not understandable that the Pınarlar Tunnel is kept waiting. If this project is completed, the distance between Giresun and Şebinkarahisar will decrease from two hours to one hour."

“GİRESUN IS NOT OWNED”
Akburak criticized the postponement of Giresun's transportation projects on the grounds of "savings measures" and stated that this situation was unfair.

Akburak concluded his speech by saying, "The white children of the green city are not abandoned. I will follow these issues until Giresun's rights are delivered."
