Mehmet Emin Ekmen from Deva Party: “The climate law serves green trade, it is still not too late for Göksu Delta”
Deva Party Deputy Chairman and Mersin Deputy Mehmet Emin Ekmen, in his speech at the General Assembly of the Parliament, criticized the Climate Law Proposal, said the proposal was prepared with commercial concerns rather than environmental concerns.

"This is not a climate, but a green trade law"
Ekmen emphasized that despite the “climate” in the name of the proposal, it focuses directly on carbon trade mechanisms.
"There is injustice under the name of carbon balancing"
Stating that the carbon balancing mechanism is not designed correctly, Ekmen will damage environmental justice, “How fair is to balance your damage in Batman by planting trees in Istanbul? This system is full of risks such as double count and leakage”.
"There is no sound from the state in the face of droughts and fires"
Reminding that Turkey is faced with drought, Ekmen said, “There was a frost disaster of the century, the drought crisis is deepening, but the water management is still in the classroom.
"Still not late for Göksu Delta"
Reminding that the Ramsar contract in Silifke district of Mersin and the Göksu Delta, which is under protected, were exposed to fire three times in a year, Ekmen called for emergency intervention:
