MHP Deputy Halil Ozturk: "Legal regulation is required against the abuse of artificial intelligence"
MHP Kırıkkale Deputy and Member of the Parliamentary Justice Commission Halil Öztürk presented a comprehensive law proposal to prevent the use of artificial intelligence for malicious purposes.

The concept of artificial intelligence is clearly defined in the legislation for the first time.

The commanders who will form a criminal element to artificial intelligence are directly accepted as perpetrators and are included in the scope of the TPC.

It is compulsory to remove artificial intelligence content that threatens public security or violates personality rights within 6 hours.

The use of discriminatory data sets is prohibited and in case of violations, data safety is covered by the crime.

ICTA is granted the authority to intervene against election security and content of public order.

In violations, an administrative fine of up to 10 million TL can be imposed.

Social network platforms that work with artificial intelligence are also legally responsible.
Öztürk said in a statement, “Today, the security of a nation is not only within its borders, but also in the existence of the digital world. Societies that cannot dominate artificial intelligence become a prisoner of this technology.
Öztürk emphasized that the proposal aims to strengthen Turkey's digital sovereignty, to protect public order and to ensure the security of citizens.
The proposal was presented to the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
