Record Growth in Wind Energy: Installed Power reached 13,391 MW with an increase of 700 times in 23 years

Giant jump in 23 years in installed power
Türkiye's wind energy installed power was only 19 megawatt (MW) in 2002, as of the end of May 2025, it reached 13 thousand 391 MW.
The wind sector provided employment for 20 thousand people
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said in a statement within the scope of World Wind Day and said that the installed power was increased thanks to the rational policy sets followed and that the wind energy sector provides direct employment to 20 thousand people.
65 percent indigenous rate was caught in domestic production

Within the scope of the 2024-2028 strategic plan of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, it is planned to increase the wind-installed power by 2028 to 19 thousand 300 MW.
