Sewerage Wastes flowing into the Marmara Sea: 6 pollution map from 6 cities has been published
It turned out that most of the waste waters from 6 big cities, which are the coast of the Marmara Sea, were left to the sea without treatment.

According to the latest report issued by the TMMOB Chamber of Environmental Engineers, 60 percent of domestic wastes discharged to the Marmara Sea are left to the sea without even preliminary treatment.
Sea creatures are in danger
According to the report, the oxygen level fell at many points to allow fish to live.
Treatment plants are insufficient
It was stated that most of the existing treatment plants were built in the 1990s and it was far from meeting today's population density.
Threat to public health
Most of the beaches entered into the sea, microorganism values are high, this condition has increased the risk of diarrhea, skin diseases and infection.
