The Israeli army began to organize intense air strikes on the Syrian capital Damascus from the morning hours.
The attacks followed the clashes between government forces and Druze armed groups in the Süveyda region in the south of Syria.

US Ambassador to Ankara Thomas J. Barrack, in his statement about the developments in Suezda, "We condemn the violence against civilians in Suezda. All parties should step back and turn to meaningful dialogue for a permanent ceasefire."
