The Tradition of Mukabele Continues Across Pursaklar During Ramadan

Pursaklar Municipality is hosting Mukabele Programs throughout Ramadan, which are warmly welcomed by both grandfathers and women. The programs, held in the Dede-Torun Houses and Women's Houses, offer an opportunity for participants to read the Qur'an and spiritually enrich this blessed month.

Mukabele Excitement in Dede-Torun Houses and Women's Houses
In Pursaklar, the Mukabele programs continue with great enthusiasm at the Hüma Sultan Women's House, Hayme Ana Women's House, Ayşe Hatun Women's House, and Saray Women's House. This important Islamic tradition encourages participants to read the Qur'an together, supporting one another in this spiritual practice.

What is Mukabele?
Mukabele is a tradition rooted in the practice of Prophet Muhammad and the angel Gabriel. During Ramadan, the angel Gabriel would visit the Prophet and read aloud the verses of the Qur'an revealed up until that time, in a back-and-forth, mukabele style. In this tradition, those who can read the Qur'an follow the verses with their eyes, while those who cannot read listen to the recitation.

Unity and Togetherness in Ramadan
Pursaklar Municipality is creating a spiritual atmosphere in line with the essence of Ramadan through its Mukabele programs. These events, which are attended by both grandfathers and women, also help strengthen social solidarity. Participants gather to make the most of this special time together.
