24 weeks of birth leave to the female officer, 15 days additional time for fathers and new rights for foster families
Birth permits are expanded within the scope of the new regulation prepared in order to increase the decreasing birth rates in Turkey.
Upon the decline of birth rates in Turkey in recent years, the government prepared a new birth leave in order to support the population policy.
24 weeks birth leave
In the current application, female civil servants can use a total of 16 weeks, 8 weeks before birth and 8 weeks after birth.
Paternity Permit rises to 15 days
The 10 -day leave given to the fathers who gave birth to his wife is also increased.
SPECIAL PERMISSION FOR PROTECTIVE FAMILIES
The new regulation also includes protective family incentives.
Population Policy and Family Institution Support
In the justification of the draft, it was pointed out that Turkey started to enter the status of “very old population” according to the United Nations criteria.
