AK Party Member Halil Uluay: “Kastamonu is Among the Safe Cities in Health”

Answering the questions of CUMHA Ankara Representative Serdar Nalcı, AK Party Kastamonu Deputy Halil Uluay made evaluations on many issues, from the geographical structure of Kastamonu to health investments.

Stating that Kastamonu is a city that can experience four seasons on the same day, Halil Uluay said, "Kastamonu is a city where all four seasons are experienced in an enjoyable and enjoyable way. We can even experience four seasons in the same day. It is possible to see all four seasons while going from one district to another."

Summer Population Affects Health Services

Emphasizing that one of the important dynamics of Kastamonu is the difference between summer and winter population, Halil Uluay said, "Our registered population in winter is approximately 360 thousand. However, most of our expatriates come to our country in the summer months and the population is approaching one million."

Stating that this situation creates intensity in health services, especially in the summer months, Uluay said, "For this reason, we may experience some difficulties in health services in the summer months. However, all our health workers and physicians work with great devotion. I would like to thank them once again."

5 Thousand Polyclinic Services per Day

Drawing attention to the service capacity of Kastamonu Training and Research Hospital, Uluay said, "Approximately 5 thousand polyclinics and around 1200 emergency examinations are performed daily. In addition, 50-60 surgeries, around 40 endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures are performed. In addition, around 10-15 stent insertion and angiography procedures are performed."

Stating that the health infrastructure directly affects the quality of life in the city, Uluay said, "People need to be sure of their health in order to live happily in a place. Kastamonu is one of the provinces where you can be sure in terms of health."

250-Bed University Hospital is Coming

Providing information about new investments, Halil Uluay said, "Our 250-bed university hospital, the construction of which will start this year, will hopefully be operational within a year."

Stating that polyclinics will be built in Olukbaşı location, where the Old State Hospital is located, Uluay said, "We want to further raise the health standard in Kastamonu with these projects."

Referring to the importance of dialysis centers in the districts, Uluay said, "We have dialysis centers in many of our districts. Our older expatriates who need dialysis do not have to stay in big cities. They can continue their treatment by living in the fresh air in their hometowns."

Call to Entrepreneurs in Health Tourism

Noting that Kastamonu's natural structure has an important potential for health tourism, Halil Uluay said, "Küre Mountains, Ilgaz Mountains and our forest presence offer very productive areas for health tourism."

Stating that health tourism can develop with private entrepreneurs, Uluay said, "We are ready to support our entrepreneurs in all their needs. Some studies have started in this field. Hopefully, we will start to reap the fruits of these in a short time."
