Aysu Bankoğlu: 'The Opening of Bartın State Hospital Has Been Awaited for 9 Years'
CHP Bartın MP Aysu Bankoğlu criticizes the delay in the opening of Bartın State Hospital, highlighting the unmet promises and ongoing healthcare issues in the region.
Unmet Promises and Continued Delay
Speaking in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Aysu Bankoğlu, CHP MP for Bartın, expressed frustration over the ongoing delay in the opening of Bartın State Hospital. Bankoğlu criticized the repeated promises made by local authorities, particularly AK Party Bartın MP Yusuf Ziya Aldatmaz, stating, "Two weeks ago, I asked in the Parliament, 'When will the Bartın State Hospital open?' I was hoping for a clear date, but once again, we were told, 'The hospital will open soon.' How can the same unfulfilled promise be repeated for 9 years without any shame? I can’t understand it."
Residents Forced to Travel for Healthcare
Bankoğlu emphasized that residents of Bartın have been facing significant difficulties in accessing healthcare services. "People in Bartın are forced to travel to other cities for treatment. Don’t you feel upset seeing this?" she questioned, highlighting the ongoing struggles faced by the public.
Concern Over Unkept Promises, Not Lack of Action
Bankoğlu also pointed out that AK Party delegations have visited the hospital construction site over the years, but no concrete progress has been made. "I don’t need to visit construction sites, as your teams have been doing so for years. But the result? We are upset not by a lack of action, but by broken promises," she said.
Response to Aldatmaz’s Criticism of CHP
Responding to Aldatmaz’s criticism that "there is not even a tree planted by the CHP," Bankoğlu proudly mentioned CHP’s success in winning three municipalities in Bartın. "Thanks to our efforts, we won three municipalities, and after the first early elections, our people will see our actions," she said.
