Cumhur Uzun from CHP: “We will hand over Seki Meadow to production and labor, not to concrete”

Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi (CHP) Muğla Milletvekili Cumhur Uzun, Seki Çayırı’nın Transferred to TOKİ and included in the housing project kararını Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi gündemine taşıdı. Uzun, konuyla ilgili olarak Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change tarafından yanıtlanması istemiyle bir written question proposal sundu.

With his motion, Cumhur Uzun asked the Ministry for answers to the following questions:

• The reason for which the transfer was made,

• Whether the necessary permits have been obtained within the scope of the Pasture Law,

• Whether an environmental impact assessment has been made for the region,

• How to protect the livelihood of local people.

At the end of his statement, Uzun said, "Today, protecting Seki Meadow means defending not only a pasture area, but also production, culture and nature. Every inch of Muğla has been kneaded with the sweat of the people of this city. The addressees of every decision that touches this land are the people of Muğla. We will not accept any decision taken against the will of our people."
