DEVA PARTY VICE PRESIDENT ELİF ESEN: “Salary Arrangement That Will Make Retirees Smile is Possible with Understanding”

DEVA Party Deputy Chairman and Istanbul Deputy Elif Esen took the floor at the GNAT General Assembly on the 2nd article of the Bill on Amendments to Certain Laws No. 248 and the Decree Law No. 375.

Criticism of Pensions and Wealth Funds
Esen said, "A life limit of 20 thousand liras is deemed necessary for millions of retirees under the name of the lowest monthly salary, and the Wealth Fund, which manages Turkey's largest public assets, continues to be excluded from the Court of Accounts audit and public tender regime."

Public Personnel Regime and Merit Criticism
Esen stated that the candidate civil servant regime regulated in the article is still structured through the mechanism of pressure and obedience, despite the warnings of the Constitutional Court.

Emphasis on Social State and Economic Understanding
Esen stated that the social state can be measured not only by the number given to retirees, but also by living in conditions worthy of human dignity, management and control of public resources.

Call to the General Assembly
Esen concluded his speech with the words, "A salary regulation that will make our retirees smile is only possible with this understanding. Peace in the country can be achieved with retirees who are happy at home and can give pocket money to their children and grandchildren."
