Immunotherapy drugs for cancer and cystic fibrosis patients were included in the reimbursement list

The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security made a new regulation in order to facilitate access to drugs of cancer patients.

Three of the drugs on the new list were first recycled, while the scope of two drugs, which were previously met with limited indications, were expanded.

Immunotherapy drugs aim to make the immune system active against cancer cells.

The second and third step can be applied in hospitals

With the new regulation, immunotherapy drugs, which are included in the scope of refund, will be able to apply in the second and third steps that are contracted with the Social Security Institution (SSI) in public and private hospitals.

Cystic fibrosis medicine was also included in the list

A new drug used in the treatment of cystic fibrosis, a hereditary disease, was also included in the repayment list.

48 thousand patients will benefit

Approximately 48 thousand cancer patients are expected to benefit from the arrangement, while approximately 1000 people can benefit from the drug for cystic fibrosis disease.
