The General President of the Confederation of Liberal Unions, Levent Kuruoğlu, made evaluations regarding the 8th Term Collective Agreement, which will determine the increase amounts for the salaries of civil servants and civil servant retirees for the years 2026 and 2027.

Speaking about the negotiations that will start in August, Kuruoğlu said, "We are ready to provide all kinds of support for it to be successful at the collective agreement table. As long as they do what is necessary for unionism and think about civil servants and retirees for once." he said.

Welfare share distribution
Touching on the share of the union presidents, Kuruoğlu stated that this time has been on their agenda for months. “The purchasing power of civil servants and retirees cannot be increased without integrating the welfare share salary system.” was used in the region. Criticism of raise and inflation
Kuruoğlu also criticized the raise plans made over the targeted inflation. "No inflation budget has been realized to date. Such an approach should be rejected," he said. Kuruoğlu, who reminded that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey has made an inflation forecast of 12 percent for 2026 and 8 percent for 2027, said that the public computers should explain that the proposed 7+5 percent raise should not be overlooked.

It was noted that if this approach continues, civil servant raises will be 6+6 percent in 2026 and 4+4 percent in 2027.

Support will be provided for action decisions
Kuruoğlu stated that they will support action decisions to be taken despite their ineffectiveness. "Even though we don't trust them at all, even though we're not sure they will do it, they support the action decisions of authorized unions without hesitation. The unions that have the authority to sit at the collective bargaining table also support the action decisions," he said.
