MHP Deputy Chairman İsmail Faruk Aksu: “We support retirees, minimum wage support is increasing, legal gaps are being eliminated”

MHP Deputy Chairman and Istanbul Deputy İsmail Faruk Aksu made statements regarding the first part of the Bill No. 248 at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Legal Regulations and Disciplinary Penalties
Aksu stated that the canceled articles in the Civil Servants Law have been rearranged and said, "Terminations within the candidacy period are made conditional on disciplinary punishment. Thus, the administration is prevented from making practices that are open to interpretation."

Pensions and Social Security
Aksu announced that the minimum monthly pension of retirees was increased from 16,881 lira to 20 thousand lira, an increase of 18.48 percent on the six-month inflation difference.

Employment and Minimum Wage Support
Explaining the support provided by the bill to employers, Aksu said, "A monthly support of 1,270 liras will be provided, financed by the Unemployment Insurance Fund, for 2026. Thus, the employer costs arising from the minimum wage increase are alleviated."

Other Regulations
Aksu listed the subcontractor severance pay recourse regulation in the Labor Law No. 4857, the strengthening of the audit structure of the Turkey Wealth Fund and its subsidiaries, the transfer of the participation certificate granting authority of the Istanbul Finance Center to Istanbul Finance Inc., and the clarification of RTÜK's authority to sanction organizations broadcasting without permission as important regulations.

General Message and Goals
Aksu stated that, as MHP, they aim to protect the incomes of retirees and citizens against inflation, raise the living standards of low-income citizens and establish fair income distribution.
