Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya: “8 Organized Crime Organizations in 7 Provinces Were Busted, 64 Suspects Were Caught”
In his statement on his social media account, Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced that 8 organized crime groups were busted in simultaneous operations carried out by gendarmerie teams in Aydın, Balıkesir, Diyarbakır, Ordu, Kilis, Şanlıurfa and Niğde.
İçişleri Bakanı Ali Yerlikaya, 7 ilde 8 ayrı organize suç örgütüne yönelik jandarma operasyonlarının başarıyla tamamlandığını açıkladı. Yerlikaya, açıklamasında “64 suspects were caught, 36 of them were arrested” ifadelerini kullandı.
Operations were carried out in 7 provinces
The operations, carried out under the instructions of the chief public prosecutor's offices and under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command KOM Department, were organized in Aydın, Balıkesir, Diyarbakır, Ordu, Kilis, Şanlıurfa and Niğde.
Areas of Activity of Criminal Organizations Have Been Determined
Within the scope of the investigation;
36 Arrests, 26 Judicial Control Decisions
While 36 of the 64 suspects caught during the operations were arrested, judicial control provisions were applied to 26 people.
“We Will Not Tolerate Any Criminal Organization”
Minister Yerlikaya said, "Our struggle is to ensure the security of our cities and the peace of our citizens. We will not allow any organized crime group to disrupt the peace of our nation."
