Muharrem İnce officially returned to CHP: 'This is not a return, it is an embrace'

İnce returns to CHP: 'The badge is already on my forehead'
The development that drew attention in the CHP's TBMM group meeting was the rejoining of the CHP ranks by Muharrem İnce, the Chairman of the Homeland Party, upon Özgür Özel's call. İnce said, "This is not a return, it is an embrace. We have never broken away from Atatürk's principles, even if we think differently." Özgür Özel greeted İnce by saying, "I cannot wear a badge, because that badge is already on my forehead." İnce's return was met with long applause from the hall.
CHP demands 30,205 TL for minimum wage
Özgür Özel emphasized in his speech that the minimum wage should be increased and said, '30,205 TL is a fair figure under today's conditions. This increase can be financed with the income to be obtained from social security premiums.' Special incentives were suggested for the textile sector and small tradesmen. Özel used the expressions, "We will ensure that workers can breathe."
Criticism of justice after the Kartalkaya fire
The CHP leader criticized the Minister of Tourism, claiming that an attempt was made to change the expert report following the Kartalkaya hotel fire. He said, "The minister who has responsibility for the incident has been traveling around the Greek islands on a luxury yacht for 150 days. This case will not be closed until those responsible are revealed."
The economic crisis and credit ledgers
Özgür Özel also touched upon the economic difficulties of the people and gave examples from a credit ledger from Keçiören. He reported that a retired citizen had reached a debt of 3,780 TL by only buying bread, milk and pastry. He summarized the picture with the words, 'These people have been reduced to this state, people are ashamed of the money they have.'
Fatih Altaylı's arrest was on the agenda
Özel, who reacted to the arrest of journalist Fatih Altaylı due to his statements, said, "The path to democracy passes through freedom of thought. A country that is not strong on the inside cannot be strong abroad either."
CHP calls for early elections: 'Ballot boxes should be held in November'
At the end of his speech, Özgür Özel made a clear call to Erdoğan: “We are ready for early elections. Let the ballot boxes be placed in November. Let’s come out and challenge.” The group meeting ended with a presentation and campaign briefing regarding the CHP’s organizational work.
