President Erdoğan in the USA: "Every step to be taken in the Middle East is vital"

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reached the city of New York on September 21, 2025 to attend the United Nations (UN) 80th General Assembly.

Erdoğan and his delegation were welcomed by John F. Kennedy International Airport, Ambassador Ahmet Yıldız, the United Nations Representative of Turkey, Ambassador to Washington Sedat Önal and Ambassador Muhittin Ahmet Yazal.

In addition to his wife Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş and National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler.

President Erdoğan and his wife Emine Erdoğan were greeted with Turkish flags by citizens waiting for them at the entrance of Türkevi.
