AK Party Deputy Ejder Açıkkapı: “The 14 Turkish citizens detained by Israel are expected to return home within a few days.”

AK Party Elazığ Deputy Ejder Açıkkapı, who held a press conference in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, made statements regarding the Turkish citizens detained by Israel in the Global Sumud Fleet.

Açıkkapı said that a total of 137 activists, 36 of whom were Turks, were brought to Turkey, but 14 people, including Sinan Kilitotu from Elazığ, have not been released yet.

New hospital and airport tenders
While giving information about the investments in Elazığ, Açıkkapı stated that the tender for Fırat University's new hospital building will be held on October 20.

Announcing that the tender for Elazığ Airport's new international terminal building will be held on October 21, Açıkkapı noted that the airport carried 40 thousand passengers in 2002 and that the number of passengers will exceed 1 million at the end of this year.

New steps in sports infrastructure
Stating that the sports infrastructure has developed in Elazığ, Açıkkapı announced that the tender for the semi-Olympic swimming pool will be held on October 23.

Israel and Palestine statement
Açıkkapı criticized Israel's attacks and said, "The tyrant's oppression will not last forever. Terrorist leader Netanyahu and his cronies will be held accountable sooner or later."

Reminding that Israel attacked the Sumud Flotilla and detained activists, including Turkish citizens, Açıkkapı said, "Israel must withdraw from the occupied lands, and the murderers must be tried in international courts."
