Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi (CHP) İstanbul İl Başkanlığı’nda kongre süreci tartışmaları devam ederken, mahkeme tarafından görevlendirilen GÜRSEL TEKİN President of the Call Committee önemli açıklamalarda bulundu. İl Başkanlığı binasına gelişinde konuşan Tekin, sürecin amacının mevcut gerilimi sonlandırmak ve partinin kurumsal bütünlüğünü korumak olduğunu vurguladı.

Tekin: "We are not a trustee"
Gürsel Tekin, "I have not been in any part of this problem so far. The decisions moved to the court and the court appointed us. We are not a trustee, we are here to maintain the corporate identity of our party," he said.

"Reactions are not party members"
Tekin said that the alleged reactions from the CHP are provocation, "I swear with my honor, one of the shouting is not the CHP.

"We will not come to provocation"
Tekin, said the unity of the party should be preserved, "the task of me and my friends is not to come to provocation. We will try to solve the problems of our party's court corridors.

Görevine devam eden İl Başkanı Free Steel ile görüşeceklerini söyleyen Tekin, “Bu bina, bu baba ocağı herkese yeter. Biz buraya kimseyi kovmaya değil, sorunları çözmeye geldik. Özgür Çelik’le de oturup konuşacağız” dedi.

Partililerin İl Başkanlığı önünde toplanma hazırlığı üzerine çevrede polis güvenlik önlemleri aldı. Tekin, sabah saatlerinde Minister of Interior ile görüştüğünü ve herhangi bir gerginlik yaşanmaması için hassasiyetlerini ilettiğini söyledi.

"We will maintain the integrity of the party"
Emphasizing that they do not separate any group in the CHP Tekin, "What we do is the guarantee of what we will do. Republican People's Party will continue our efforts for the unity and integrity," he said.
