New Customs Dutch decisions to many countries including Türkiye from Trump Administration
With the decree signed by US President Donald Trump, new tariffs based on reciprocity on some countries were announced.
US President Donald Trump signed a decree that increases import taxes on some countries.
According to the decree, tax rates between countries were rearranged based on the principle of reciprocity.
15 percent customs duty to Turkey
With the decree signed by Trump, 15 percent of customs duties will be applied to the goods imported to Turkey.
It is planned to apply 25 percent to India, 19 percent to Indonesia and Malaysia, 35 percent to Iraq, 15 percent to Israel and Norway, 39 percent to Switzerland, 41 percent to Syria and 20 percent to Taiwan and Vietnam.
The new customs duties rates will enter into force within seven days after the publication of the decision.
New tariff decision for Canada
In addition, the Trump administration has put into effect a separate decree, which increased its customs duty on Canada from 25 percent to 35 percent.
The White House showed that Canada did not show enough cooperation in stopping illegal drug flow and that the US had retaliated in response to measures.
