The seed distribution ceremony and the farmer meeting organized in order to support agricultural production in Beykoz district of Istanbul were held at Cumhuriyetköy Market.

In the program, domestic and certified vegetables and field plant seeds were distributed free of charge to the producers.

One -to -one contact with farmers was established
Within the scope of the event, one -to -one interviews were held with farmers and the problems, needs and solutions encountered in the production process were discussed.

Nationalist Movement Party Beykoz District President Emre Çömlekçi said in a statement, said the support given to the producers will continue, "Beykoz's agricultural potential will activate all kinds of steps," he said.

Sare Sezer, President of the Women's Branch, pointed out the importance of female farmers and said, “The strengthening of our female producers is valuable in terms of both rural development and food safety”.

Support chain from seed to production
At the end of the event, various treats were offered to the participants, the farmers said that they were pleased with the support provided by Beykoz Municipality and the interest of the members of the protocol.

Seed distribution is an important step in terms of increasing local agricultural production and economic support of rural farmers.
