Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the renewal time of the former type of driver's licenses was extended until October 31, 2025.

Yerlikaya, said in a statement from the social media account, "the previously determined for the renewal of the former type of driver's license 31 December 2024, due to the intensity was first postponed to July 31, 2025. However, due to the decline of the application, the time was extended once again and 31 October 2025.

16 thousand 329 appointments were canceled in a day
Yerlikaya pointed out the decline in the renewal process, said that after the extension decision on 18 November 2024, 16 thousand 329 people canceled the appointment in just one day.

According to the statement, the number of daily applications fell from 55 thousand to 20 thousand.

The increase in applications peaked in July
As of January, the number of applications according to months was as follows:

• January: 140 thousand

• February: 82 thousand

• March: 84 thousand

• April: 101 thousand

• May: 270 thousand

• June: 502 thousand

• July: 1 million 413 thousand 489
