Türkiye temperature record was exceeded with 50.5 degrees in Silopi.

According to the July 25 data of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change, the highest temperature in Turkey in Silopi district of Şırnak was measured by 50.5 degrees.

The hot air wave, which is effective throughout Türkiye, brought a record.

In a statement based on the data of the General Directorate of Meteorology, 132 centers of temperature measurement on the same day was transferred to the highest July temperatures of all time.

The previous record was in Eskişehir
The last temperature record was measured on August 15, 2023 in Sarıcakaya district of Eskişehir with 49.5 degrees.

According to the ministry data, 49.6 in Kızıltepe district of Mardin on the same day, 49.4 in Cizre district of Şırnak, 49.3 in Nusaybin district of Mardin, 49.1 in Kurtalan district of Siirt and 49 degrees in Ceylanpınar district of Şanlıurfa.

New records can come
Experts predict that similar temperature waves will continue in the last week of July and that new records can be broken.
