Vahap Seçer: "Japan Experiences will guide our disaster management work in Turkey"
The Union of Municipalities of Türkiye examined the applications of disaster management, seismic strengthening and waste management in Japan.
The Union of Municipalities of Türkiye (TBB) made a visit to Japan within the scope of the "Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Increasing Waste Management Capacity Project" carried out with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Zonguldak Mayor Tahsin Erdem, Mayor of Çanakkale Muharrem Male, Bilecik Mayor Melek Mizrak Subaşı, Deputy Secretary General of Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mustafa Katipoğlu, Bolu Mayor Rasim Özdemir, Deputy Secretary General Feridun Ulutaş and experts took part.

At the end of the program, Vahap Seçer, Vice President of the TBB, who made evaluations, said, “The earthquake is an important problem in our fields. We had the opportunity to examine the applications in Japan in Japan. This visit will make very important contributions to our work in Turkey.”
Seçer pointed out that disaster management not only the moment of the crisis, but also the pre -preparation and risk reduction processes and the importance of increasing knowledge.
